Leanne Williamson (Assistant Principal, Thomas Acres Public School) has extensive leadership and diverse teaching practice across the K-6 range. She has skilfully applied comprehensive knowledge and experience of the NSW syllabuses documents, Literacy continuums and the NSW Quality Teaching Model to fulfil curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements. She has fostered a culture of explicit and high expectations to completely engage and challenge students to succeed and thrive given their relevant stage/s of learning, development and backgrounds. Leanne has mentored and supported teachers from all stages of learning both within her current school and beyond; to reflect and critically review current research to expertly plan and develop their teaching expertise.

She enjoys working collaboratively with her colleagues and is always willing to seek feedback on how to improve her practice. She is always willing to network and share her work in order to build the capacity of others. In recent years, her sharp focus on formative assessment practices, differentiation and explicit teaching has shown a positive impact on the learning of students within her care. |
